Now that you’ve seen half my weddings from last year, it’s time to wrap up the 2012 recap with the other half! Again, I’m still so overwhelmed I had the opportunity to be a part of these couples’ most important day of their lives. Every time a new bride and groom join the Elle Golden Photography family I feel a sense of pride. That’s why I call them “family”. By the time their day comes and goes, they really are just that.
Quentin + Beth | First Presbyterian Church + Sunset Country Club | Moultrie, GA
I had the honor of second shooting alongside Charleston’s incredibly talented Leigh Webber this past summer for one of the most stunning weddings I’ve ever seen. I love second shooting opportunities because they always push me to find a different perspective I normally wouldn’t go straight for as a primary photographer. And it also means the chance to hang out with the guys for once since I normally photograph the bride and her girls when I am the main ‘tog! This couple met in D.C. but decided to marry in Beth’s hometown church. While Leigh photographed the ceremony, I captured all the magnificent details at the reception in a tent set on a country club golf course (Which by the way, is EXACTLY how I want my home office decorated! *lesigh*). This wedding had 700 guests, a full bar, doves, a 7-tiered cake, a gourmet buffet including a late night custom grilled cheese sandwich station, and a live band that kept the party going all night! Thank you so much for the opportunity to work with you Leigh!

LJ + Christy | The Inn at Palmetto Bluff | Bluffton, SC
I had another amazing opportunity to second shoot last year with another fantastic photographer, Amanda Suanne. Unfortunately, I saved all the images I shot that day to her laptop at the end of the wedding and never got around to saving them to MY computer. So I’ll share a couple Instagrams from that day and a link where you can see some of my work intertwined with her photographs HERE (I photographed the groom, cocktail hour, some of the reception decor, and a couple of the ceremony shots from the front of the church). LJ + Christy are UGA grads, so I obviously had a blast hanging out with the groom and his guys and watching the slideshow his best man made for his speech chock full of UGA references! Thank you so much for inviting me along Amanda!
Brett + Lindsey | Perimeter Road Baptist Church + The Loft | Valdosta, GA
The sweetest wedding on the hottest day! We all made the most of the heat by dashing in and out of air conditioning and being silly for the camera. Brett is one seriously funny guy. And Lindsey? Too sweet for words! These two make such a perfect pair. Even this random chalk art on a downtown building wall thought so!
Rob + Jes | The Blacksmith Shop | Macon, GA
A wedding featuring fun for all ages! Coloring-friendly place settings, candy + bacon centerpieces, a caricaturist, the Elle Golden Photography party booth, a cookie girl (instead of FLOWER girl), ninja cake toppers, a blue-haired bride, tons of DIY projects, and a 4-legged groomsman?! Be still my heart!
Skyler + Emily | United Methodist Church + Horse Creek Winery | Nashville, GA
A beautiful bride patiently waits for her Marine to return home so she can marry him! I absolutely ADORE these two. Emily is a favorite 2nd shooter of mine and I miss her terribly now that she moved to California to begin “happily ever after” with Skyler!
Patrick + Clare | The Beach Club | Fort Morgan, AL
Although it wasn’t a true “beach” wedding, I’m thrilled to tease you with Patrick + Clare’s Gulf Shores nuptials! Can you believe this shindig was the result of only 4 months planning? Oh, and might I mention one of the bridesmaids is a fellow WeddingBee alum?!
Kayne + Samantha | St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church + Old Courthouse on the Square | Decatur, GA
This one’s extra special because the bride called and booked me in one day! Why? Because she was a bridesmaid of a former bride of mine. ❤ The two “…left their home in Georgia, headed for the ‘Frisco Bay.” But they returned home to tie the knot in front of their closest friends and family. Such elegant colors for a wedding near Halloween (Which is my FAVE holiday btw.), toasts at a nearby pub, and even a beer for me! My clients ROCK.
And last but certainly not least…get ready for teasers from the most intimate wedding I’ve ever photographed!
Mark + Hannah | Sundown Farms Plantation | Moultrie, GA
A wedding party made of children, church pews as seating for the outdoor ceremony, and a family-style dinner reception! The couple’s children served as the wedding party (Hannah has a son and daughter and Mark has a son and twin girls). It was so sweet to see them all become a family. Not to mention they were the best behaved kids I’ve ever worked with! Can you believe from booking to the wedding day was only 3 weeks time? And I might be a little biased, but I loved the red and black color scheme!
