Ever since incorporating film photography into my workflow, I’ve noticed I spend a lot less time at the computer editing images. So I figured now is as good a time as ever to address the backlog of incredible digital portrait sessions I have waiting to meet the world. With Matt + Shannon’s Flint Hill wedding this weekend and Atlanta Braves baseball in full swing (what I did there, do you see it?), I knew this would be the perfect session to share first!
I was ecstatic when Shannon called and told me her plan: She was going to surprise Matt with an engagement session at Turner Field! They’re both big baseball fans (though I won’t hold Shannon’s Red Sox fandom against her…) so the location was a fantastic idea. After a rainy week, we finally lucked up with a gorgeous, sunny October day just in time for our photo shoot on the diamond. Unfortunately, home plate was still covered with a tarp, but we had a blast exploring the Ted for all our other backdrops. I can now check “lay in the grass of Turner Field’s outfield while photographing a beautiful and fun couple” off my bucket list!
I can’t wait to see these two again on Sunday. Early congratulations the soon-to-be-newlyweds!
