This morning, I got my first photography feature!
Awhile back, Rosie Parsons contacted me and asked if I’d be interested in doing an interview for her new website, The Photography Parlour. Its tagline is “Where aspiring photographers click with the pros!” and boy is that an understatement! If you’re new to photography, the “Parlour” is where you should be hanging out! And if you’re a seasoned pro, consider giving back by helping out the newbs there. We appreciate it. 😉
My original feature was supposed to be about a paid modeling gig I was shooting back in early April. But the model canceled last minute…AFTER I got all the way up to Athens (a 3 1/2 hour drive)! As a side note, this is why photographers charge a non-refundable deposit. At least my gas was paid for and I got to hang out with friends that weekend!
Anyhoo, a few weeks passed and by then I had shot my first wedding. Rosie thought my shots were “ace” (I love British slang!) and *poof*, here’s my first feature!
I’m so excited and couldn’t wait to share with you guys!
If you’d like to see my interview in its entirety, click on over to the “First Assignment” section of The Photography Parlour.
While you’re at it, feel free to peruse the site a bit. Even if you aren’t aspiring to be a professional photography, you could still learn a lot if you are a photography hobbyist or a model, starting a business, or just want a peek into life behind the lens.
But I warn you, it’s ADDICTIVE. 😉
