Emily and Kyle are such a fun couple. Always smiling and being playful, these high school sweethearts are simply in love. They seem to approach everything with an ease about them. Even their booking was easy as pie! (I think Emily just knows what she wants and goes for it.)
Once we had their wedding on the books, we had to scramble to get their engagement session scheduled. Why? Because these two had less than 3 months from the booking until their May 4th wedding! That’s right. Next weekend is the BIG day! Thankfully, I was already going to be in South Georgia for my little sister’s baby shower, so I was able to squeeze them in on what turned out to be a gorgeous day at Reed Bingham State Park in Adel, GA.
During an outfit change, I kidnapped Emily’s beautiful engagement ring to have a little mini shoot with it. I even tried out some freelensing and got this shot!
I love how the pairing of Kyle and Emily’s nautical-inspired outfits plus the breeze coming across the park’s lake made us feel like we were on the beach! The following series were definitely my fave from the day!
Let me tell you something about Emily. This girl can WORK IT. I’m fairly convinced she’s hidden a modeling career from me. I don’t have to tell her to do a thing when it comes to posing. And her fashion choices? NAILED IT. Orange and blue usually makes this Bulldog think of nothing but arch-rivals in the SEC, but the way Emily wears them makes me forgive those colors…until football rolls around of course.
Kyle, you’re not so bad yourself. 😉
You two came along at a time when I was doubting myself and whether my photography was still thriving after moving to Atlanta. The way you seemed so certain during the booking process had me over the moon. You’ve never questioned my process and you two made it so easy to create beautiful photographs of a couple in love. You’re the reason I do what I do. I know your wedding is only next weekend, but I am SO ready for it I hardly can’t stand myself waiting!
