I’m still recovering from a week off of work to entertain my Cali cousins. I’d forgotten how hard it can be to get back into the swing of things after taking time off. Even harder when you’re suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome and wearing a wrist brace while editing/blogging. But I’ll do my best to stay on track! And no better way to do that than by starting off the week with another Monday Madness!
Before I begin, I just have to sneak in this peek at the quick mini session I did of my cousins while they were in town. More from their visit coming to the blog soon!
Now onto the fun stuff I found on the good old faithful interwebs this week. The first one kind of made me upset. I mean, this photographer gave kids a lollipop and then took it away to photograph their reactions. Hell, I’d be crying, too! But I do have to admit that the images serve their purpose (click through and read the article for more information). They’re beautiful and powerful, as is the rest of Jill Greenberg’s work.

Speaking of powerful, this kid…WOW. I feel there has to be some dominant photographer in this kid’s life. When I judged a high school photography competition I would see images that made me feel as though a professional helped out, then I’d see the kids’ name/location and immediately recognized their photographer parent. Regardless, the imagination and creativity of this 14 year old is stellar. He has an awesome future if he keeps it up!

My kickball buddy Matt sent me this next one. I love how my friends know me so well! Of course I loved these seemingly miniature cities created using a tilt shift lens and aerial views. Simply stunning.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past week, you’ve likely seen this one. I think it’s hilarious and actually am only separated by one degree from a bridesmaid in the picture. As funny as it is, I do NOT photoshop my images like this. Sorry Elle Golden Photography brides. You can still keep your fingers crossed for the real deal to sneak up on you though. No? Oh, okay. haha

Another viral wedding video/snapshots. This one from the creator of The NotWedding (I’m photographing The NotWedding Athens in September!). Callie wrote about the fateful plunge and her awesome clients’ reaction. The video is also incredible. I can’t even begin to imagine how I would handle that situation. Hopefully with the same grace Callie did!

I’ve gotta end on a little funny after that. One can only imagine how the photography world will change with the recent announcement of Google Glass. 😉
Happy Monday folks!
