I love New York. I mean, who doesn’t?! And it’s no surprise to anyone who knows me that I wouldn’t mind being a New York City engagement photographer. Or wedding photographer! But for now, I’ll settle for the honor of photographing my previous wedding couple Chris + Sudipta’s only professional images in the Big Apple. Sudipta’s grad school work brought her to NYC well ahead of their wedding. But just a week after this wintery shoot the couple packed up and moved to Nashville where Chris had just landed a new job! The timing was perfect to commemorate the time they spent in the city as newlyweds! From the Brooklyn Bridge to Washington Square Park to Central Park, I had a blast exploring the city with them. My favorite part was watching the lovebirds reenact their first dance in the middle of Central Park to a very talented saxophonist. SO romantic! Bonus points: this was the first time ever my boyfriend tagged along as my assistant, making this session THAT much more fun! So as always Chris + Sudipta, thank you for being absolutely fabulous clients and giving me the opportunity to photograph my very first NYC portrait session.
