Boy oh boy how I love a good spring engagement session! Marci wanted a “green” backdrop for part of her + Matt’s engagement session, but was also okay with steering clear of the often over-populated Piedmont Park. Virginia Highland’s beautiful John Howell Memorial Park immediately came to mind as an alternative spot. I drove by the park a couple days earlier and knew the flowers were in full bloom. So when Marci showed up rocking the most perfect floral dress, I knew we were in for some magical images! Her gorgeous look was topped off with hair and makeup from the incredible Jennifer Nieman. Not to be stood up by his stunning lady, Matt arrived looking pretty GQ himself! Not a bad outfit for the game-time decision there Matt. *wink*
Spring in the Virginia Highlands is almost more than my heart can handle. But that’s nothing compared to the love between Matt + Marci. They were so much fun to photograph! I adore a couple who can laugh with each other and at themselves, yet flawlessly pull off the romantic look a second later. We finished their engagement session with a second outfit and location change to the always fab Ponce City Market (which is now hosting weddings!). Now I can’t wait to get them back in front of the camera for their Brickyard Marietta nuptials this fall!
