The first of the year was a crazy time for me. I had just returned from a skiing trip in the northeast and finished packing up my entire house for a big move to Atlanta. I was stuck in an in-between state, living out of 2 suitcases at my best friend’s house. I welcomed Terence and Brittnee’s engagement session during this time because it provided a little bit of “normalcy” that I so desperately needed.
When I met up with these lovebirds, they took me out to an old family house on hundreds of acres of country land for their session. Can you believe they thought the backdrops wouldn’t be pretty…hah! I adore rustic settings the most!
I like to think of my clients’ engagement photos as a “documented date”. So I make it a habit to have them play, flirt, and kiss during their session. Brittnee and Terence’s session is a perfect example of that! I would have Terence sneak up on Brittnee and bear hug her so she couldn’t help but bust out in a big, beautiful smile! Or ask who was more ticklish…they would have it to prove which one accepted defeat quicker! (PS. They’re BOTH highly ticklish!)
I fell in love with B’s choice of clothing and jewelry. I love when my clients go all out on their outfit choices while maintaining their true personality. And you think Brittnee’s eye pop in this image? Just WAIT for her bridal session to be unveiled on the blog!
Dear Brittnee + Terence,
I cannot believe your wedding is almost here! Just one month away! I had no idea when you booked me to be your photographer that I’d be moving so far away. But I couldn’t imagine not making that 4 hour trek down to south Georgia for your backyard wedding you promise will be one big party! B, I can’t wait to watch you dance the night away with your daddy. And Terence, I think Brittnee and I will both get a kick out of watching you try to dance, since we know it’s not quite your thing. 😉
