I think I’m beginning to form a favorite type of wedding to photograph…the backyard shindig. Every time a client tells me they’re planning a party in the backyard, I squeal like a little girl on the inside. I might even do a happy dance at the same time. Why? Because from that moment on I know it’s going to be a relaxed environment with lots of fun to be had. But in case I had any doubts, Brittnee told me the following: “I want my wedding to be FUN! I want everyone to come dance, eat, drink, and have a good time!! I have planned, planned and planned for this and I want to enjoy it! Our ceremony is probably going to be short and sweet. We want to get married and then come back to my parents’and have fun. My ideal day is being surrounded by all those I love and celebrating. My daddy and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to dance. We will be on the dance floor all night.”
I mean, the girl speaks my language.
And as if that wasn’t enough, I found out Terence and Brittnee met at a wedding! They’ve literally come full circle. Terence is the perfect gentleman, the kind who asks the father of the bride for her hand in marriage before proposing. SWOON. And Brittnee makes a beautiful bride who is true to her words. Their day was nothing short of amazing and the fun and dancing lasted late into the night.
Terence + Brittnee,
Knowing your story makes me even more honored to have been asked to photograph your special day. The day was PERFECT. Watching you two throughout the day was like watching a fairytale. And to cap it off with that sweet text you took time to send me on the way to your honeymoon? I already knew you two were my exact kind of wedding couple, but that just sent it over the top. I had so much fun I forgot I was there on a “job”. You’re the reason I do what I do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
“When the night has come and the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we’ll see
No, I won’t be afraid, oh, I won’t be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me”
